UK REACH: First steps of compliance - Grandfathering and Downstream User Import Notifications (DUIN)

4th of November 2020
Take part in our event!

UK based companies holding existing EU REACH registrations have the possibility to “grandfather” their registrations into the new UK chemicals regulatory regime – UK REACH – to ensure their continued access to the UK market. At the same time, UK downstream users who don’t hold an EU REACH registration but are currently importing substances from EU/EEA countries will need to make sure that their imports are covered by a Downstream User Import Notification (DUIN) before proceeding with UK REACH registration.

Through this webinar we are aiming to help the UK industry understand the concept of “Grandfathering” and “Downstream User Import Notifications” and the related data requirements as well as timelines.

Topics to be addressed:
• UK REACH – Overview
• Grandfathering and DUIN – What do these mean in practice and who can benefit from these?
• Compliance Strategies
• Conclusions
• Q&A

Speakers:

REACHLaw Finland: Frederik Johanson, Partner- Sales

REACHLaw UK Ltd: Steve George, Interim Director and Senior Advisor, REACHLaw.
