UK REACH – Today’s status and how to prepare?
4th of June 2020
The transition period due to BREXIT between the EU and the UK is due to end on the 31st of December 2020 unless the UK-EU Joint Committee agrees to extend it before the 1st of July this year. During the transition period, all EU laws including the EU REACH regulation continue to apply. However, besides taking the necessary actions to remain EU REACH compliant after the UK leaves the EU, companies will also need to start preparing for an eventual UK REACH regulation entering into force in the UK from the 1st of January 2021.
