India BIS Update: Extension of three enforcement deadlines

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Department of Chemicals & Petro Chemicals), Government of India, has announced amendments to the following Quality Control Orders (QCO) to extend their enforcement.

Once the above Quality Control Orders implemented, both local and foreign manufacturers must adhere to the respective Indian Standards and display the Standard Mark, obtained through a respective license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), following Scheme-I outlined in Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. The utilization of the Standard Mark is governed by the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016, along with the corresponding Rules and Regulations.
